Evaluating Potential Partnerships

The CBPL project is testing the hypothesis that partnerships between for-profit curriculum publishers and nonprofit PL providers can help address key district challenges. The project began by developing a process for developing and sustaining publisher–provider partnerships, There were four phases to this partnership development. (See Partner Development Brief) During the Exploration and Fit Assessment Phase, the RTI CBPL team used this framework for evaluating potential partnerships using four dimensions of fit. The framework ensured that partners evaluated both the strategic and practical feasibility of working together before committing to deeper planning.

The LEA Look-Up Database is a resource, based on the National Center for Education Statistics’ Common Core of Data, created by the research team to facilitate partners in verifying whether LEAs and individual schools meet the Scaling CGPL high-priority criteria. There are separate tabs for each of the four priority states, and within each state separate tabs for LEA and individual school-level data.Records shaded green meet the Scaling CBPL participation criteria.
