Scaling Curriculum Based Professional Learning 2026 Convening

The Scaling CBPL 2026 Convening is a two-day gathering of curriculum publishers and professional learning providers participating in the Scaling Curriculum Based Professional Learning project.

The goal of the 2026 convening is to strengthen strategic partnerships between curriculum publishers and professional learning providers to scale high-quality, aligned math instructional materials and professional learning.

Gates Foundation sponsored dinner

Dinner has been arranged at 9 different restaurants in the Raleigh-Durham area. You will be assigned a dinner group. You will have a Gates “captain” for your location. You will receive a calendar invite with the time, location, and group assignment, and Lyft code for transportation 1 week before the event. Some restaurants have a dress code. Be sure to know before you go.

Event Guide

We are delighted that you are joining us at the 2026 CBPL Convening. We hope the information below helps you prepare for the event. If there’s anything we haven’t covered, please reach out to us at ScalingCurriculumBasedPL@rti.org

The event will be held at the RTI Headquarters, located at 3040 Cornwallis, Research Triangle Park, NC 27709.

RTI is covering the cost of hotel accommodations, airfare, event and airport transportation, and meals on April 29 and 30th. An Uber code will be provided for airport ground transportation and a gift card to cover travel per diem. The event coordinators will contact registered individuals directly to arrange travel. Accommodations & travel are being funded through the Scaling CPBL project.

Guests will stay at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel Raleigh-Durham. The event organizers will arrange rooms for all registered guests.

Participants will receive a rideshare voucher for round trip airport transportation. Raleigh-Durham Airport (RDU) is about 15 minutes away by car. The Sheraton Imperial also offers a free shuttle service.

Yes, parking is available at the Sheraton Imperial Hotel Raleigh-Durham for a daily fee.

Professional Learning Providers are invited to attend an optional Gates Foundation sponsored dinner the evening of April 28, 2026. If you plan to join us, please arrive by 4 pm EST to allow for hotel check-in & transportation to the event.

If you are not attending the Gates sponsored dinner, please plan to depart the hotel via shuttle on April 29th at 8:00am for check-in and breakfast at RTI. The convening will begin at 9:00am.

Publishers and special guests are asked to arrive at RTI by 11:30am on April 29th 2026. Transportation will be provided from the hotel and will depart at 11:15am.

Yes! A full breakfast and lunch will be provided at the convening. (April 29-30) There will also be a Gates Foundation sponsored dinner event for all guests on the evening of 4/29. Professional learning organizations only: There will be an optional Gates Foundation sponsored dinner event on the evening of 4/28.

Yes. Only registered guests will be approved to enter RTI’s campus. If arriving by rideshare or individual car, please provide your name at the security gate. The event will be in the Holden Building.

Yes. You must wear your visitor badge when on RTI’s campus. During the event check in process you will receive your badge.

Attire is business casual, and we suggest layers to accommodate varying temperatures.

RTI will hold bags at the security desk.

Yes. A private room for nursing mothers will be available. Please see the event organizers for access to this space.

Yes. RTI has an in-house catering service that will provide a full breakfast and lunch during the conference. They have a superb reputation for ensuring all food allergies and preferences are cared for.
